I’ve always wondered how those people finder sites get all this info. Do they just send a bunch of FOIAs to court houses and cities? I kinda figured maybe they paid to be wired in with the DMV and police computers maybe... I guess backgroun

I’m on my phone and site won’t load... but I do know there’s some attack where ads served by a ad network can redirect a page... A popular blog about Apple news and rumors did that once for me, emailed their ad sales guy but never heard any

Be interesting if Apple released their own cloud product, since many people buy Mac's just because you have to use it for XCode to build and release iOS apps. However there is companies that will rent a remote Mac desktop. So seems lik

I wish we had more cities with tech. Seems like Silicon Valley is still the #1 place for tech despite the cost of living and other issues. There's probably a lot of intelligent and smart people but disadvantaged due to poor location an

Yeah, seen a story that rising sea levels are threatening Miami but they are going on like normal and still building new condos and skyscrapers. Looks like a nice city though to visit or move too, I'd love to not have to wear my jacket

Sounds like a Chromebook. However there is Linux App support now inside of a container... So you could run VSCode, Node and Yarn on a Chromebook now or install GIMP.

I seen an ad in my feed on Facebook where you could finance a toothbrush. Like the company was offering their own loan. However I think putting a toothbrush on a credit card you already use and pay off would be normal since more people are

Wow, sounds like not a hot tourist spot probably then. Not sure why people would want to live there when safer and cheaper places in the US.

Yep, I've heard that too. However, the states are much worse. Someone was telling me about how he made an error, and New York was much more aggressive. He decided to take his family and company to Texas instead, so in the long term, Ne

Interesting about PDFs. I think they still have some uses though, like scanned documents (like court records), downloadable books... I know some software with invoicing for say hosting might offer a downloadable version created with some sc

I think this is a overreaction. Even Google has had Christmas Doodles. I see Christmas more of the commercialized thing, Santa, Trees, Snowman, Presents, Candy canes, Getting the family together... I'm not the most religious person, bu

I guess this is related to fracking? I seen something before that Pennsylvania doesn't allow certain waste, so the companies put it in trucks and pay to put it in injection wells in Ohio by the barrel. Pretty sad Ohio accepts money to

Interesting, didn't know press releases were vetted. I always figured they are just copied and pasted since there's sites where you can pay to syndicate them but not sure how legit that stuff is since never issued a press release,

Yeah. I guess this person thinks sitting at a computer all day isn't real work. Real work would be working in a factory all your life breaking your back. Then I also think some people think making websites and coding is the same as usi

Yeah wouldn't surprise me if people learned to code in SL and then moved on to real world projects, since learning one language is always similar to others. If you could do LSL, you could probably handle Javascript. Hmm interesting on

Yeah griefers. Particle spam it sounds. Wasn't someone being interviewed for a media report who made a bunch on virtual real estate? Back in the early days too. SL got a bunch of media buzz back in 2006 and 2007. CSI did a tie in too.
