The weirdest thing is when I search for GitLab integration or bots, but I _always_ see them hosted on Github. Maybe this is just because GitLab has still god awful Google indexing.

We use a mix of winget and chocolatey for everything via a python script. We also check the tool version when we configure our project with CMake. Sadly, we had to implement the version check for each application.

I have been working on that (tm). I got the audio visualizer prototype working on Windows. And the Spotify integration should be easy. IIRC rainmeter also just checks for the current Spotify Window title to get the song name.
