Not at all. Being a web developer I'm all for working towards fixing these problems. I could have communicated that better :p

I had a similar reaction, specifically the person commenting about the wrong use of "its" degrading the quality of the article and the dude writing alarmist titles in bold letters. What a weird place.

It's weird to want all the benefits of web development without it's unfortunate quirks in my opinion. If desktop developers don't want to deal with them, which I think is reasonable, they have loads of other tools they can us

Funnily enough in my experience it's usually Chrome and Safari that do weird things, which as a Firefox user always gets me dinged on PR reviews :p

I don't understand what the problem is, in that case. Is it just the fact that it's called an Error instead of something more generic? Not trying to sound dismissive, just trying to understand if there's something I'm mi

Isn't that what the Result type on Rust is? Sure, one of the branches is still called Error but it's just a plain language construct (a sum type you can write yourself).

I'm not in the US but delivery apps are mainstream here as well, and pretty much every restaurant had their own delivery people (we call them motoboys here). Weird to learn that it's not the case everywhere.

It is mine. I don't watch much political content on YouTube, and I constantly get Steven Crowder and PragerU videos on my recommended feed. Needless to say I don't subscribe to their ideas (to put it lightly).

I agree completely. I would've spent ridiculous amounts of money on that game at this point if it weren't for loot boxes, but alas it wasn't meant to be.

I play a lot of Apex Legends and recently I found out that when you go purchase a loot box it explicitly tells you the chance of each item's rarity. My initial thought was that it's a step in the right direction (of banning loot b

It definitely is true for me. I haven't left my house for anything but doctor's appointments in 11 months. The most exercise I get is when I walk to my condominium's garbage disposal room.

Sometimes I catch myself pondering if location-based pay makes any sense, and every single time I end whatever train of thought I'm having with "but they're not gonna pay me more if I decide to move to LA".
