Tried Asana, couldn't stand it. Moved to Airtable, which is vastly superior to Asana and moderately better than Trello. Now I use Notion on recommendation of an HN poster. Far from perfect, but beats Asana out of the park. All of these

No, that is wrong, and ironically enough considering the parent post I originally replied to, dehumanizing. It's important to treat an individual as an individual. No attempt should be made to discriminate based on someone's ances

That's a gambler fallacy argument. You need to contextualize the price. Why did it rise? Mass public adoption with a wave of speculation. People thought they'd all get rich off it. This is not comparable to 2013. Calling it a di

I'm not suggesting that they didn't think of it or that it would be surprising, I'm suggesting that if it were to be abused, it could downgrade the experience of paid users until they noticed and fixed the situation. I just b

Not quite. Try using Panopticlick [0] for an overview of how your browser can be tracked. Less unique is better. There's also sometimes new methods discovered to track users, but that's not something you would usually care about.

I say this a lot, but running your own VPN service loses almost all the privacy. This is something people don't bring up when they recommend doing it. With a paid VPN service, part of the attraction is that you're one of quite a f

I feel like I could theoretically just spend an hour writing a script to abuse acquiring the apparently unlimited Mullvad trial accounts, and just post it on GitHub. Sounds like a business problem.

I wouldn't recommend using one. P2P VPNs are great for people to commit crimes with, so unless every time your VPN is off, you want to be solving reCAPTCHAs all day, and not be able to make a purchase online, I would avoid it. P2P VPNs

I looked into this a while ago. If I'm recalling correctly, code in particular is treated legally akin to a literary work, so it wouldn't be "work made for hire" by default. I might not be recalling correctly.

I don't usually sign contracts, when I do it's mostly NDAs. Often times the code has inherent competitive value. When not under an NDA, I'm well within my legal rights to reuse all of my code at any time, I could put everyt

Isn't that worse than just not revealing personal information at all? Fudging dates could be quite bad in particular if it were to become apparent that policy changes were made after the supposed time period. I don't find that the
