I don’t know much about Rubik’s cubes, but isn’t that quite a limited number of moves as seen in the video? As a demo for the electronics and control systems, it’s great. But is it really that impressive from solving a cube that it got done

Amongst the worst, most opaque UX gestures I’ve ever seen. Up there with press and hold the space button to scroll in text fields on iOS.

Not sure if it’s a bug with your specific setup, but scrolling vertically in a straight line from the centre of the screen all the way to the bottom will make the dock switch to that monitor.

I don’t care about Tesla or Musk (mostly) since I don’t own or plan to buy one in the near future. But having seen the build quality of model 3s years after mass production, I’d be extremely concerned with plans for a cheaper car. It will d

So this will break IDEs and anything that uses the JVM natively on macOS. But if I’m reading the bug report right, should leave dockerized JVM services intact? This is why most enterprise workplace tech teams don’t roll out any OS level upd

Given that most McDonald’s are franchisee run, I wonder if they get compensated for system downtimes which they are not responsible for.

I just read on a local Reddit thread that the lines at Burger King and KFC were insane. So, not really I’m afraid!

Second this. One of the first VSCode extensions I install and recommend for non-devs in the team as well (BAs, QAs, etc). Kind of insane how human friendly HTTP 1.1 is.

Apple will really bend over backwards to screw their customers, even if they are legally bound to. What is the point in making it this complicated? Hope we find a way around this technical limitation, although knowing Apple it isn’t going t

They are now too big to experiment and fail with any product line. And don’t know if the majority of their shareholders will agree on that model anyway. I mean they still have lacklustre products, but the appetite for risk isn’t there. The

It’s getting harder to keep track of all the shiny new features. UI devs already deal with TS->JS compiler, tailwind compiler just to name two. Can’t imagine adding another compiler to the mix. Our already complex and fragile build pipel

Except for the compiler bugs, lack of self hosted package management, improvements to tooling, etc. I use it regularly too, but it is frustrating to see it in a state of decay. They can definitely claim the above points and more are not goa

I have to admit this broke my brain. This is the first time I'm hearing about content addressable languages, and once you get over that barrier, a distributed language doesn't seem far fetched. As a big fan of functional programm

Is this google indirectly admitting that it cannot compete in the current AI landscape (e.g bard), or is it just to keep OpenAI in check by funding its closest competitor?

As long as you aren’t hosting a public instance, the docker config in their docs should work fine. As for RAM consumption, I have set limits, so not sure if it’s actually happening.

I host my own instance and it’s pretty great. With a disabled home page feed, I don’t get distracted with random “popular” crap. I only seek our videos that I need and it has reduced my YouTube consumption considerably.

Has AMD completely missed the ML/AI train? I’m quite surprised that even for inference, there doesn’t seem to be a viable competitor to nvidia. Is there anything in AMD’s roadmap to suggest they are planning to even compete?

I’ve thought about this a bit, but don’t have an answer as to if it should be regulated or not. However, it’s clear we haven’t yet seen how AI/ML can be weaponised by bad actors and how it is going to end up affecting our society. We h
