Not a useful argument; anyone making the "nothing to hide" argument is implicitly arguing the trustworthiness (or the low likelihood of a mistake impacting them) of the state/justice system. You and other members of the gener

Because rejecting all tends to break things or make them work non-optimally, and practically speaking there are no negative consequences from accepting, so even the mental overhead of thinking about what to do with the dialogue is a waste o

What law would require an American VPN host to log the activities of their subscribers? CALEA only applies to telecoms and ISPs (legal common carriers), a VPN provider is neither.

The bar to contribute to a software project of any size is many times higher than the bar to contribute to Wikipedia. If you were speaking monetarily, Wikipedia has a gargantuan user count and good will to match, where Mozilla has spent the

I really want to believe you are not suggesting that a specific policy has, or will ever, stop someone from shooting up their office, but I don't see any other way to read this. Could you clarify?

Marketing and industry trends play a part in this. There is a big difference between "nobody cares about X at all" and "nobody cares about X enough, in isolation, to base their entire purchasing decision on it" For insta

To say that something like GPT-4 does not count as "AI" requires a gargantuan shifting of goalposts from where they were at this time last year.

I think you might be on to something here! The biggest problem with whisper right now that kills a lot of use cases is the requirement that you send discrete audio files rather than streams. However, if you have never had a textual relay co
