Most likely it’s real. That said, we don’t know how many 10s-100s of takes this was done in. This single video could be the results of hundreds of hours of fine tuning parameters.

That’s often the case for commodities, but not always services. Many services are designed to go easy on the little guy, but hit big companies hard. Look at most software plans, where pricing is e.g. $5/user up to 25 users and $10/

I excluded my company’s app from running on M1. It relies on iPhone hardware (specifically the microphone, and all our training data was recorded from iPhones), and we found the experience on M1 to be abysmal. So perhaps, many developers wh

You’re most likely using dd wrong then. Perhaps an incorrect block size or not writing to the raw device (e.g on Mac, that would be /dev/rdisk1). That said, the fact that Etcher doesn’t require you to know this is a plus.

“Currently” isn’t the best word here, as there’s an implication that this will change. Etcher has and will always be an Electron app.

You... just saved me many hours. My 2021 goal is to migrate from 1Password to Bitwarden. I’ve been putting it off as I still have half a year of my subscription. But that does make it easier. Thank you!

A different way to look at it is that the CEO provides >$2M in value to the company, whereas many of the engineers were not providing their $100k+ salary of value.

When all crops will be (presumably) manually pollinated, it might be easier with plants that produce a lot of pollen.

When it was legalized in Canada, the legal prices were pretty bad. There were also restrictions on only allowing the sale of flower (ie no edibles or concentrates IIRC). Since then, the government has pulled up their socks. The prices are c

I play video games about 8 hours per month. At 40c per hour, it would cost me less than $40/year to rent a gaming computer in the cloud. Even $400/year seems pretty reasonable. It’s only not cost effective if you use it a lot (whi

I have no idea what company is in the article since it doesn’t say. But if it’s (likely) John Deere, we avoid them like the plague. Granted, my family’s farm is “hobby farm” scale. I see plenty of Deere’s on actual farms. But for me, it’s n

What the article didn’t mention is that trying to work with a camera constantly on is highly stressful for some people. If it works for you, great. But don’t assume it’s better than regularly scheduled meetings.
