Good question, I was wondering this too. From Wikipedia, I found: > .cc is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory. It is administered by a United States company, VeriS

Surely you’ve heard of OAuth. But if that’s rhetorical/curt, then the answer can also be found on the home page of the site: it’s a service with a paid component and the login is to associate the purchase with your account. Very common

The point is that “it’s open source” is a really bad selling point when you’re talking about a messaging tool meant to be used by everyone. Good luck trying to convince the general population that “the UX is bad but theoretically anyone c

Most cars don’t have OTA. If there’s a bug that causes death, they issue a recall and firmware is updated through the OBD. Sure, it’s an expensive process, but maybe it would persuade Tesla to invest more into their quality control.

Going out on a limb here, but I’m assuming it’s meant to be “why [exogenous] melatonin is bad for you”. Melatonin is naturally secreted by the pineal gland, which like other hormones gets downregulated when taken exogenously over long per

It’s not in Meta’s best interest to obsolete the Quest 2. VR is already a tough sell, and like other “consoles”, significant revenue comes from selling apps. If they tell the regular users (who spend $50 per game) that they can’t purchase n

The xx90 isn’t made for gaming. Before the 30 series, everyone knew RTX Titan was not a gaming card, but rather for compute/professional work. Nvidia rebranded their Titan cards as 3090/4090 and people lap that up for some reason.
