I think we’ve been lulled into some false sense of expectation that the web exists as a place for “open source code” to be run. As if the fact that you can view the source of any page is any purveyor of that. If that’s your definition of tr

Have you tried Copilot? It writes my unit tests 80% of the way. It’s the main reason I pay for it (I hate writing tests).

I’ll disagree on that. An extra 10ms is not perceptible in 99% (99.9%?) of cases. Consider that a good gaming monitor has input lag of ~3ms, a TV in game mode has input lag of ~12ms, and in regular mode the input lag is >100ms. I would a

I don’t understand the dot in “.beats”. How is that pronounced? “Dot-beats”? And it really makes it awkward to add in an English sentence, especially if you use it at the start. .beats could just be “beats”.

I honestly think you should focus on shipping perfect rather than shipping “fast”. The world has enough quantity; let’s focus on quality.

The way that I like to view it is this: if I put my laptop in a vault for 15 years and then open it back up, can I use the software? Of course, I’ll be on a 15 year old OS but the answer appears to be “yes”. Not the case with Figma or other

I worked for a local farmer in high school. One of the novelties he grew in small quantities were “square” watermelons[0]. When grown in a square fibreglass enclosure, the melons would conform to the cube shape. I wonder if a pumpkin could

I think remote buttons are passed through CEC. For example, I can use my TV’s remote to open the menu and change settings, but when the menu is closed I can also use it to navigate my Fire Stick UI.

Heh. I went to a sushi restaurant recently and sat down to an iPad menu. After ordering a few rolls and confirming the order, it was delivered by a robot[0]. After finishing the plates, I returned them to the robot which carried them away.

Cool! A couple suggestions: 1 - the CSS is all over the place on mobile, it looks pretty bad. 2 - maybe adjust the pricing of the bulk a bit. I assume you want to sell the bulk packs more, so incentivize them more. Instead of $74 for 1
