I think NYPD labor actions is something I feel strongly against. - underpaid - they fight tooth and nail for lack of accountability - they get lots of fun benefits for overtime, so they make sure to arrest people so they can get overtime I

Support them by boycotting. I don't understand your statement here. Are you saying that because you have it fairly well, that you should let your labor be as exploited as possible? If I earn 200k a year, and my employer earns 1MM a yea

All people who don't care say "can you please go over there, in the corner, where I can't see you, so you can protest and I can appropriately ignore you." The point of a protest is to annoy you. Annoy you enough into act

This is silly: “In my hometown in India, everyone talks about politics all the time. And most of us don’t agree with one another. But that’s okay. I can even tease other people about our political disagreements and it doesn’t get in the way

The problem is the trade-off. We don't get to decide "I like remote-start, but I want to be able to start it from inside the store while the car is in the parking lot" -- That's a $10 a month gain that I'd pay. I do

The problem is value add: The old remote start system worked just fine. I click a button, a remote signal is sent to my car. Boom. Was it perfect? No. But it was local. Now we replaced a local system with a worse one. I tried using the mazd

Can't stop buying if no options exist. I need a car. Toyota has done this for a while. BMW has IAP heaters in chairs. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Practical problem... Kids won't do that. And there's a lot of classes there. Though indo agree with his sentiment. Most college lectures are useless and easily replaced with a video. I found my best math professor had us do homewo

Overheard a convo from our sales team "I reached out to a few people, just waiting for them to do more than 5 seconds of Google searching of us before we reach back out"

I paid for jetbrains stuff for many years because it was worth it. And compared to eclipses features et it was leagues above. That's worth money. Like I always say about open source. I'm skeptical about adapting frameworks without

After using gitlab for a year I can boldly claim that it is inferior to github in every feature with subtle things being better in github which add up to a far better experience. Gitlab tries to do a lot and never did anything that well. It

Here in New York it's about as bad too. Except a big chunk of people can't even get Healthcare. The rich always get what they want.

It also shows that people want transient bookmarks. They bookmark a few things they care about, but the rest is bookmarks for the next week or month, then they don't need it anymore.

Defense lawyers can usually tell a bs arrest from a real one based solely on the arrest time. Right before end of shift? A cop needed overtime.

This was... 2018. They'd also take an office meant for 1 person and convert it into a 3-person room, with a lack of airflow. It was bad.

Sorry I said "Boss", I meant "CEO". Yes. Yes he was. He felt that a half-sized ikea desk was too much space for people and needed to sardeen people into a room as tightly as possible.

Yeah the problem is that europe is doing the right thing BUT the US says fuck it do what you want. So it forces europe to have to compete on the same bs market as the US.
