"Intelligence" is poorly defined in most conversations. The nature of the word and concepts around it lead to problems, even for people who can score high on IQ tests. It will take me a long time to write out my thoughts completel

Are you sure about what data those companies have? Example: it seems like you can't sign in to Starbucks wifi any more (via Google) without giving a real email address that is verified through Experian's API. There is surely more

I'm not saying that the tests are useless, just that they should be renamed, and culture should look at them a little differently.

When it comes to permissions and electronic privacy, consumers don't understand how things work, so they aren't really giving consent. And many aspects of the modern Internet are designed to trick them.

It seems like a goal of IQ is to assign a single, unchanging score to someone's cognitive ability, but it is a severely flawed concept. The test should not be called "intelligence quotient" but something like "cognitive

I do 2-5 day water fasts, and it has very clear health benefits. There urgently needs to be more research into it, especially for autoimmune diseases (like the ones you mentioned), but I don't think it will cure those diseases by itsel

It looks like a smoked food company hired a researcher to investigate the health effects of smoked food. Surprise -- smoked food is tastier and less harmful than you thought! Unfortunately, the actual research can't be examined during

You're reading too much into what I'm saying. I didn't promise mountains with "diets". I said that "Researchers should be paying more attention to those areas." I'm definitely not saying that the answ

I don't know why people are downvoting you. Things like microbiome, calorie restriction, diet, and water fasting are very promising "non-traditional" areas for dealing with systemic inflammation, and they definitely can work.

I went with ThinkPad T460 with Ubuntu 16.04 and it has been great. I had looked at Macbooks, but the ThinkPad was about $1,000 cheaper, has much more RAM (24 Gb), more battery life (11+ hours using Linux), has a matte screen (lower glare),
