Why the marketing line "this is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time"? I don't mean to be rude, but it's kind of an aphorism, and a morbid one at that. But I see people whom I respect making this observat

Maybe the cost of improvement is failure in this case. For Tesla to fix the issue of a crossing tractor trailer not being positively detected there had to be an instance of a Tesla hitting a crossing tractor trailer. Maybe for road work bar

I had assumed this to be because their earnings were so small. For example Tesla has an undefined P/E ratio since it's a divide by zero. I had also assumed this to occur when a company sacrificed short term profitability for highe

I want to downvote the person you replied to and upvote your comment. HN apparently doesn't work like that so I'll stick with a single upvote :)

I couldn't agree more. If there are more accounts than people in a region, you know you have robots registering. They need to employ better captcha and verification for registering new accounts. I wouldn't go as far as to require

Anyone else think it's odd that a Moscow based cyber security company which has been associated with oligarchs is now investigating yacht vulnerabilities? I mean who investigated the vulnerabilities of yachts??

Dude. This is awesome stuff! Great design, topic, demeanor, problem statement, solution. I also like the way you visually offset deep(er) dive subtopics. Thanks!

As someone who has a couple rigs mining 24/7 I would say he’s looking at the profitability of mining wrong. Personally I don't reinvest my mining profits in more mining equipment. There's a hard cap on how much amperage can b

I appreciate the planning fallacy. I usually do this implicitly but I just changed an expected timeline on a JIRA epic from 80 hours to 160 days after reading this.

Using it wrong...would you not try using it exactly as described with $28,000 depending on it? He raised extremely valid points about labeling this 'user error' but the 'correct' use case seems pretty kludge to me and hi

WSJ did a really good job with this too. I opened the News app on my iPad after work today and found this story at the top of my feed. Their stories are usually paywalled, so I was surprised they featured anywhere near the top, and I tapped
