Clearly? That's quite a big logical leap you took there. I don't think it's clear at all.

Excuse me? This is not an accurate summary of the article at all. It's in fact exactly a spy plot: Wang was "instructed by his supervisor, the director of his military university lab in the PRC, to observe the layout of the UCSF l

None of what you've said above justifies your completely misrepresenting the deal as having economic output goals that were watered down, and the parent corrected you on it. It's fine to not like the project, but let's not pr

Do you have any examples of that ethos being "espoused" by Facebook?

They can't and likely won't ever block ALL ads because they are funded through a search contract with Google. The whole point of that contract is to drive ad revenue.

I like these updates just as much as everyone else, but I can't help but think they seem a little bit like biting the hand that feeds you. What will they do when Google decides against renewing their Firefox search contract? Mozilla is

For Python I'd also highly recommend Clear Linux for raw performance. It's not quite as easy to get started as with something like Ubuntu though.

500 years ago, only 1-2% could afford "whatever" and the rest had to scrap by and pinch pennies. I'm not sure we're moving to a world of less evenly distributed wealth.

The article I linked in the footnote has quotes that are arguably more WTF than the Tesla statement. It quotes the wife describing how she had told him many times that the car was swerving in that spot.

That's fair enough, but the problem I have is the way this event is being portrayed in news and social media. The implication everywhere is that autopilot just unexpectedly swerved into a wall and there was nothing the driver could hav

That news about this case is being spread everywhere irks me a bit, because people aren't considering the actual circumstances of the accident. Excerpt from the article: "According to the family, Mr. Huang was well aware that Auto

Another comment has already provided a pretty solid refutation of your argument, but I have to ask: Why in the world do you think that the implied premise of Facebook redesigning one of its surfaces (for the 100th time..) is that the world

One thing I love about firefox performance-wise is that closing tabs is instant. I can close a lot of tabs very quickly. Chrome lags quite a bit on tab close.
