It seems from what I understand from the discussion that fundamentally you can't have a patent clause in a license and having it being compatible with GPLv2. (IANAL) Edit: see the last paragraph in this email: http://lists

There is this problem in multiple countries I believe. From what I understand, the US asks you to report what you earn outside of the US but also what you paid as taxes. If the foreign country has a tax treaty with the US you would only pa

Which MachO file are you looking at? Is it the one generated by the compiler or the one after linking in the bundle submitted to the store?

So basically, are you expecting the reviewer to spend hours and hours of QA testing to try to find bug that the OEM didn't find during the pre-release test? It seems obvious to me that a technical review will be pretty limited in term

You should really look at the bitcode that is actually submitted. It seems your opinion is based on what clang generates usually.

This is not completely false, but clearly the view of someone who does not understand C++. Yes C++ carries decades of history, but since C++11 even if you can still make use of this you don't have to cope with. It is perfectly fine t

"Countries are not bound to frontiers anymore", well from a fiscal point of view it is, you got a free education while you were in France, and now you work and pay taxes in another country, which couldn't scale because it bre

I do the same, but I believe many people want to be inside ASAP to get their "hand luggage" close. It happened to me once that there were no space anymore and my bag was quite far away with the crew luggages.

For C/C++/ObjC developers, `clang-format` is already a must. I have `git clang-format` as a pre-commit hook.

Can you elaborate on the common point with the Mali? You may not know that Ivan has some compiler background, he is not really a newbie here! And the main problem right now is not a crappy compiler but no silicon...

Well there is still the amount of parallelism that can be exposed. It just seems that CMake exposes it as well for make than for ninja I guess.

Saying that you're afraid by optimization-induced failures and then saying that you will feed some LLVM bytecode to the optimizer seems contradictory to me...

My experience has been very positive for incremental build (you have built once a large software and change one file and need to rebuild) but no difference on fresh build.

And again the point of Titanous is that delaying the PoC provides a false sense of security. Saying "some time is better than no time" is the problem, you have a false impression that you have time while the fact that the Po

I believe it is not the original reason: most UB are about funky HW. For instance for the non-wrap signed int it can be explained because C does not assume you have 2-complement hardware.
