10 years ago I used Arch on Macbook Air, when it still had all of the drivers working. Everyone asked what that UI was. People practically pulled the "I use Archlinux" answer out of me. Get ready for some m1 fame. :D

Yes, this would be great for gaming, but I personally play almost all of the games from Steam. I even add shortcuts to native Linux non-steam games to Steam library, so all of them would stay in one place.

Lutris is great, but the UI is not as polished, and is probably still geared towards more advanced users.

If people want to write things in Rust, let them write things in Rust. Hanging out at community Discord I see that there are a lot of new guys, students. They just want to experiment, and I am all for it. Yes, maybe it's not the most e

I'm not so sure it works like it is explained in the article, or maybe I missed something. When using Gnome + Xorg + proprietary Nvidia driver with multiple monitors, with different refresh rates (144 and 60), they do not limit both to

I agree with this opinion. When Chrome came out, it was way better. Now I don't really see big difference in performance, they have similar extensions, frequent updates, sync, etc. I prefer Firefox but I don't really need to insta

Using the programming language to do the comments works only when using some scripting language. Things that get compiled can't really use it without recompilation.

I have not seen a distribution where updating Gnome wasn't an issue. I hope that System76 is serious about their DE, and that if their development approach is more inclusive and better planned, other distributions will follow them. In

I agree that those are great news that someone is making a new DE. But currently switching away from Gnome is not that simple, especially if you dislike KDE. A lot of work is being put into making Wayland usable, and a lot of interfaces for

Speaking of headphones, I know what you mean. But I have been using open back, over-ear headphones (Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro) for a few years now and I can wear them for hours without any fatigue.

I am using Wireguard on Mikrotik RouterOS v7. It is not yet considered a stable release but it really is stable. I guess it will become stable once they figure out automatic way of migrating config from v6.

If you want a great Linux desktop experience, don’t buy Nvidia GPU’s. Intel and AMD has very good open source drivers, while Nvidia has only the proprietary ones and they are known to have all kinds of issues. There is a good reason Linus T
