The assumptions/traits/expectations that come with numbers (and most importantly, that are embedded into the number _types_) may not be consistent with _version number_ types.

You are wrong. You do not need to acquire consent, either, when it is implicitly granted because the service is the same system as the IdP. I.e., consent is requested/granted when they sign up with your IdP.

> Version numbers They still aren't compatible with number types. They are groupings of numbers at best. 2.9 is an earlier (not less than) version than 2.10. 3.1.6 isn't a (strict) numerical format. 5.4.11-beta1 has non-numeric

It works really well for scaling your systems. In the case of "third party" this can mean disparate services within your platform, permitting you to fully isolate the authentication from literally everything else.

Used Flickr for years. Then Yahoo came along. Then the T&C's changed, transferring ownership of the photos to Flickr, not even attributing the photographers. Then they introduced fees. I've not uploaded anything since Yahoo bo

I've been in more product meetings that have uttered a phrase like "we will work out what to do with all these users later" than I care to count. It really is a startup goal to sign-up as many users as possible. In most cases

For an example of the polar opposite, I thought Drive[0] was exceptionally high quality, yet not even remotely entertaining. It made for some nice screencap wallpapers, though. [0]: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780504&

That scenario to me is a sign of a greater workflow than what should be in the view. Some other model should be handling that transactionality, not the view itself.

If you'll forgive the following.. what the hell is liberty without tolerance? You _need_ tolerance to accomodate liberty. Otherwise those who do not tolerate your liberty will prevent it.

I do hope that, and believe society should strive for, the utopian ideal of education that is plentiful enough it would make the need to be intolerant (of intolerance) redundant. I understand it might be immature/naive to expect that &

I'm caught in a (philosophical?) dillemna though: I don't want the right to rise to power because I fear for the future of freedom, but I would be repressing freedom by ostracising/excluding the right from electoral eligibili
