I've heard this argument before, and I dislike the paternalism of it. I read the fine print and made tradeoffs that I thought were appropriate for my situation at the time.

I bought cheap, catastrophic health insurance during my past year of funemployment. I eventually got a letter that the plan would not be offered in the future because it does not meet all provisions of the Affordable Care Act. Personally, i

It looks like the third number specifies an index , not a length . var array [10]int slice = array[2:4:7] > its capacity is now only 5 elements (7-2)

The information it's showing me for the NYC area is basically worthless. The listed companies have only 1 or 2 salaries reported, the numbers on the salary range bars for each company don't match up with the labeled axis at the to

Hacker School is a great thing to do during a sabbatical or career break. I got pretty burned out on my previous job (of 6 years) in the Midwest. I was also a bit lonely since there wasn't much of a tech community in the area. I came o

The yellow "inserts" that pop open are neat but appear too often and become an annoyance. I think you should keep it limited to the fortune teller, cover color voting, and cointagion link. The rest of them seem like filler and add

I'm mostly apathetic on this issue. My comment was more of a roundabout way of saying that I don't think religion should be a protected class.

Maybe we should swap out religion for sexual orientation. At least the latter is genetic (like race and sex).

Local governments != Federal government. The Federal government could be significantly castrated without too many problems for most people. Dysfunctional local government is what I'd lose sleep over.

I think if a dev bootcamp is confident, they won't charge their students unless they land a job. (Added: a few people have noted that App Academy is a bootcamp that uses this model.) I personally prefer the https://www.hacke

Lots of cheap "catastrophic" insurance plans for individuals can no longer be offered because they don't meet all provisions of the law. The one I was using last year while I was in between jobs suffered that fate.
