I agree. They should be considered employees, and be given the same benefits as employees. However, Uber doesn't agree, it says all of its drivers are contractors. So I'll continue saying that Uber's employees aren't the

Unfortunately, Debian will sometimes also patch the package to remove failing tests, not understanding that it is a security issue. This is not the first time this has happened.

Debian really hates code duplication and prefers risking security issues resulting from trying to reduce code duplication. This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened, and has caused security issues.

The modern WebGPU spec was more or less based on Google's NXT proposal, rather than Apple's WebGPU prototype.

This is a very inaccurate summary of what happened. And I say this as someone who does not particularly like WGSL. Mozilla, Google and Apple are all working to help design WGSL.

No, IrisGL did not have any functions for creating Windows, you used libX11 and the Xt toolkit to do that.

Did you look at the FSM? It's an FSM, but it's not an FSM like traditional game AI; it only has 3 states! And in modern implementations, it's only got two. It's practically just boolean flag.

The games industry has a lot of things in between state machines and neural nets. Since 2008, the craze has been goal-oriented AI planning (GOAP), which use a graph of states, and A* to pathfind towards a goal. And there's plenty of li

Simply standing out of frame in the background while Microsoft faceplants into the ground at 50mph does not make SteamOS a "resounding success", it just makes it a thing that existed, at best.

int % float -> float is not a native operation I'm aware of on any CPU or GPU. Even C doesn't have this operation -- the % operator only applies to integers, and the float variant is a function, fmodf(float, float); shading lan

The few people with the wealth to be able to live this lifestyle are the ones who left enough records to read about. The commoners definitely existed, they just didn't leave records, or the ones they did leave weren't preserved, o

One of the most important things for a modern cell phone is the GPS receiver. Most couldn't function without it. GPS was and continues to be a system funded by the US government. In fact, the opening of GPS civilian use in 1999 directl
