Hypoglycaemia during sleep is the big one. My hypo sensitivity isn't great, but if I'm awake I'll always notice before it gets really dangerous. Sleeping is a different story though. The days when even a slight low would jolt

One thing I wish I'd been told more about when first diagnosed was the possibility of prolonging the honeymoon period. It was decades ago, and back then the advice was to eat a fairly normal diet and just dose as much insulin as needed

I'm in the same boat re. MDI over pumping. I can still keep very tight control without a bunch of cumbersome attachments (I do wear a flash sensor though). Why vials and syringe rather than a pen though? I usually just carry the pen

I think most people would count anything not forbidden for Olympic athletes as natty (not that most Olympic athletes actually are, but that's another discussion).

About grinding reps, I look to the example of Lasha Talakhadze, arguably the strongest weightlifter ever. Of all the clips I've seen of him training I don't think I've ever once seen him grind a rep. It's always submaxim

The whole article is clearly written by someone struggling with English, with no checking or editing. They use 'seldom' in a way that makes no sense, where I guess they meant 'hardly'. Then there's 'hilight&#

It's notable that despite the claimed joint tracking, the only actual hand interaction shown in that video is knocking something over, not any real dextrous handling requiring precise finger motion. I get the impression they made a d

All I've seen so far suggests they're almost entirely focused on virtual 2d screens floating in 3d space, and not other virtual 3d objects at all.

Most of the joke is the same as the original, but the 'mild and bitter' part is an addition by the translators. Here's a blog post on them with a comparison of this and a few other pages https://auntymuriel.com&#

The English translators did a great job. This page always stuck in my head for the wordplay: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/ZRlllWCKGjl9aKUy7F_WhgF4-B9fo74LY9...

Yes, the one with reflections was found months ago, and got a lot of coverage and discussion here. Then the one without reflections was found more recently (and also had a few discussions here). This article is about the first of these, so

There's also a big genetic variation in caffeine metabolisation speed between individuals. For some 4 hours before bed might be fine, while for others even 12+ hours before messes up their sleep.

And the author is revealing this only now!? That's not a great look, being witness to massive safety violations and keeping quiet about it until after it goes wrong.

Also just to clarify, this is a new development from the one a couple of months ago. The same authors have now described an aperiodic monotile without flips.

Also note the 53-degree FOV they quote is for the diagonal angle! In all their press releases they're comically cagey about giving actual resolution and angle info for the display, which makes me distrust them.

Regular dodecahedra don't tile space, so these wouldn't make much sense as scaffold nodes. For regular space frames with identical nodes, truncated octahedra are more useful.
