You know it sucks. Find the right tool set and practices to help your clients improve. You can't fix it overnight, but there's ~so~ much room for improvement in our industry.

I've spent more time in Ruby and Java than other languages. My background is leaking through. :) Feel free to post any other tools to the comments on the article. Re: DSLs... I don't think the DSL specs always stay in front of the customer
