Edge cases handled properly may be the killer feature of this project, at least for me. With git, as long as I'm in familiar territory it's fine, but when somethings goes off rails my head's working set explodes with options.

Picture yourself telling this story to your kid one day. Then your kid asking you "and what did you do?" Then yourself telling them what you did or what you did not do. If you are honest throughout that mental exercise, your next

Exactly my thoughts. Raised stakes in the discourse. This either delivers, or will become a shower of BS.

Yeah, I was just echoing your comment that you provide a small library for HTML5 canvas-based teaching. If I was going to teach someone Rust, I would definitely do that, but of course I (the teacher) would need to know enough to build it in

For simple pixel access and no primitives, https://github.com/emoon/rust_minifb is very compact and neat. Otherwise rust-sdl2 is batteries included, there may be more ceremony than html5 canvas but it's easy to hi

A lot of people have to unlearn "classic" OOP inheritance in order to learn Go. That's a significant change in paradigm.

There are many ways to "fail to do X", most of them much more complex (and possibly damaging) than "won't do X", especially in a program whose state is now corrupted. So limit that surface area as much as possible.

Support software and services that supports that format, and try to avoid supporting software and services that do not support it. Including your own if you are a developer, of course.

My touchscreen Chromebook has been the most cost-effective and versatile computer purchase I've ever made. And with a crouton chroot I can do anything I'd do on a regular Ubuntu laptop outside of high performance and games.
