I decided the same a year ago. Turns out, you can't disconnect it once it's connected -- it refuses to forget networks or previously set passwords if they worked. I had to just change my wifi password and update everything else.

It's frustrating. A huge number of top grads move to the US when they graduate for 30-50% higher pay, before exchange rate. Even Amazon will offer you 50% more to move to the US vs. Toronto.

I would disagree with your disagreement :) I consider one of the biggest costs of Walmart to be the time and experience of actually going to Walmart. I generally find the experience unpleasant, or at least a chore, and it is time consuming

How close are we to being able to render a high resolution monitor / TV inside VR? Not necessarily a 4K screen, but like a good 2560 x 1440 display? How close are we to high resolution virtual cinema experience? ... or are we there? I

I'm surprised that Bloomberg failed to account for inflation in their comparisons. Amazon's 1.4 Billion loss in 2000 is almost exactly 2 Billion in today's dollars (1,956,479,674.80 according to http://www.usinflat

Bezos is not highly technical. Very smart, and grasps concepts very quickly, but not highly technical by any stretch.

Not how I think about it. It's looking at ROI. And the cost of education typically correlates with quality and long-term earnings. (Put your pitch forks down, not all schools, just generally.) So, if I think about this on a 20 year hor
