My components being end-of-lifed are the Bridge and Connect (and a Play5, but ignore that for now). The Connect is what connects my Sonos devices to the internet. By forcing a partition of my network, the other devices not being end-of-life

It's what it costs to provide the services around it. They are getting all the benefits that tax dollars are paying for and not paying an equitable contribution towards those benefits. Yes, they would be forced to sell for 10x-20x thei

They’ve signed long term leases. Most of their customers can cancel on a months notice. So they will have shrinking revenue but fixed costs. You’re right that it might reduce the cost of growth ...

If they found it. Big company get so complex i don’t think that’s a given. It’s not like they’d be kissing $100m from a single bank account and just be like, that number is low.

They did not. You really had to jump through hoops to keep it - they really tried to force you to merge your accounts — but it was possible. Source: I never converted.

Capital controls can be an important part of a monetary system. It’s not part of most western countries’ systems, but it’s a very valid tool with a real purpose.

This strikes me as idealist and disconnected from reality. This is how some engineers think they should be paid without ever seeing the other side. - the first year has a lot more risk than future years - often, you pay yourself less when

I'm not under the impression the execs are risking jail, fines or lifetime job loss. The latter seems possible, but I haven't heard of many execs going to jail or suffering personal fines.

You get paid more gross in NYC than Seattle, but the take-home is less due to taxes. Cost of living is also approximately double. I did the math last year -- offer was 5% higher in NYC, but the after-tax and living disposable income was 50%
