Looks really great. Why the React dependency though? Would be more flexible, faster, and avoid dependency hell if it was vanilla JS.

Seems like the biggest benefit to immutability is that it reduces the time spent dirty checking objects. So if you use getters/setters instead of dirty checking, immutability doesn't provide much benefit right?

Maybe we should get rid of weight classes for boxing, women's leagues for sports, and anything that acknowledges accomplishments for anyone that is not 100% objectively the best on the planet.

The problem is most people just criticise/tear-down instead of actually improving open-source projects (just read the Show HN section here...). Building open source projects requires a positive attitude and early stage comments can be

Looks like a big win for Polymer. Polyfills make more sense if you can see a path to a day they won't be needed.

You shouldn't be making large grids for the web. Terrible practice. You should paginate.

Kind of like how React benchmarks like to create tables with hundreds of rows and dozens of columns to test against other frameworks?

Interesting to see how defensive people are on here about their favorite new toy. I didn't even find the article that harsh actually. Of course vanilla JS will outperform any toolkit. If you like React, use it for that reason, not caus

That article has too many flaws to go into, but the whole idea of all investments growing the economy are just false. Most of the investment dollars go to areas with little to no benefit. The (secondary) stock market, derivatives, commodity

There's no logical reason not to tax investors. They aren't unique butterflies that make the economy flourish. Investment is just one component of a functioning economy. So is education, saving, consumption, etc. Too much focus on
