>I'm not saying it is worth it, but yes, sometimes you can just inefficiently throw hardware resources at scaling problems Microservice scaling is also an inefficient hardware scaling option.

Not worshiping the Microservice, doesn't mean that you avoid services in different languages. Not all engineers need to move around - DS and MLEs are generally useless on the frontend, and vice versa.

It's really not a big surprise, tbh. Making data available to a thread on the same core has exceptionally high bandwidth. Just that alone will help with scaling.

You would hope so... but it's not necessarily the case. Often people are too lazy to issue API version change on a "bugfix", and take down multiple applications. Funny thing, a modularized monolith may have identified some of

There's literally censorship on HN, under your own definition. Also content moderation is quite literally censorship - deeming which expressions(which are actions) are appropriate and removing inappropriate.

And yet, I've been screwed over by recruiters many times. Simply because recruiting is a very low barrier job - you get countless bad recruiters... even at reputable recruitment agencies - horrible child-recruiters.

And in the end there's still an "at will employment" and "3 month probation period". Why TF would you waste so much time to then have all of that crap?

That's the next step. You'll have a completely custom replaceable band of plastic on the four thin sides, that is discarded upon any authorized repairs.

That's fine. The issue comes in, when you lose all warranty on parts if someone opens up the phone. Which is unreasonable.... Imagine if your car warranty was contingent on you only using approved mugs inside the vehicle. There are vid

"Funny" though. EVs have less moving parts, than any ICE vehicle. And brushless motor control isn't a complex issue at all(if your EV has brushless motors, that is). If your EV had traditional brushed motor(s) - then it'

Groovy was too much of a "scripting feel" to it, maybe because the primary project was Gradle. Scala had a massive much more prominent project to rely on - Spark. Kotlin is getting traction because of Android.
