I'm curious--have you tried replacing some of your meals with Ensure? Edit: I'm not suggesting that Ensure and soylent are identical, but there is a lot of overlap, and in this case it appears to satisfy a lot of the requirements

I'm another PIA user, and for the price, it's been great for me. One of the founders sometimes comments on HN, which to me is another good sign.

So this is not my industry, but it's interesting to think about the requirements of a studio environment. I was recently handed a card by someone who did voiceover work, and he was "The ISDN guy" or something. I assumed that

I think you have never been laid off. I know a few H1-B visa holders who were and I cannot imagine the stress they went through. Fortunately they all found jobs in time, although when you've got a time limit, you end up making some co

There's a mini-mall near my house where I often eat lunch. Tucked in a corner is a newstand that usually has free local real estate listing magazines. Last time I was there, I noticed a new free magazine in the rack: http://

Almost all DRAM has some amount of address scrambling--logically adjacent cells are not physically adjacent. It can get quite complicated. Here's a PDF that describes some of the why and how: http://ce-publications.et.tude

This comment had an interesting score trajectory. It's a quote from the movie "Pi", which has a protagonist who goes mad trying to find order in randomness. Which is kind of the point of the linked story, too. The comment we
