Agreed. I'm really struggling to see how people here can be so negative. The whole idea of Milk was to try lots of things and see which stuck. People are saying "you need to stick things out to build a business" -- but Milk is sticking to t

I feel your pain. I had something similar happen to me -- though not to the same degree. Recently I was selling posters based on a meme unique to my campus -- the designs were our own (so we had the copyright), but the original concept the

I read the comments first, then read the article, and was confused since I thought this comment was referring to a different article. I found it strange that the author is a fool who makes your blood boil solely because he said (in one sent

Surprised no-one here is talking about programming/startup jobs in China. I know there is a small Chinese-based hacker set on HN, so maybe they'll show up later to chime in with more expert opinions. Basically I've been planning for a few y

I submitted my application for this a few days ago. Basically, it's a bit like YCombinator with no funding - you still get support, advice and mentoring, but they're a non-profit and don't invest or take a stake of your business. What does

Sometimes groups of very individualistic people can be especially prone to groupthink - the fact they believe they are not susceptible is what makes them more vulnerable. Example: "Randroids".
