Often, when people say 'I couldn't (or cannot) hear the difference' they are not, or have not, been a/b'ing or making other technically meaningful comparisons. It is effectively saying, 'when I listened to the

I understand and agree that these stories continually need to be told and charlatans unmasked - Extreme Gullibility is on the rise, thanks to the reach of the internet. But told here?

Pretenders as in I see them (BOC) as exploiting a genre rather than being anything approaching a band, in the broader sense - not to totally disparage that angle. Yes, I'm rather surprised people see a simpatico here. For example, the

Yes it is the point (If indeed we are agreeing on the same point). I like 'ignorable as it is interesting'. I'm just quite astonished people are viewing these two artists in the same ballpark, I find them incongruous - BOC be

BOC are, I find, thoroughly unlistenable. Great pretenders, but nice people, I wish them continued success. Several programmers I know, and now more than several here, put BOC on to code to; this is undoubtably because they make background

I'm slightly put out (personally) to see Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin in some kind of parity. Surely only one is making music to listen to and thus the genuine article, the other only making music to actively ignore whilst on. Takes

For at least a couple of decades upwards of 250,000 people took MDMA every week, in the UK. During this period deaths solely from MDMA ranged from around 3 to 24 per year. How does that measure up to smoking, drinking, road traffic accident

Is there a moral to the story? Perhaps, when in the US, be sure to get a second opinion on your diagnosis, the first might not be right.

Very interesting and the music is more than decent. What was the fail rate? Did you ask friends for opinions on half made tracks? You have some ear for musical finesse - you do seem to know something about the process of making music.

There is a hole in joe public visualiser apps that will work with any input, without too much additional setup, and taking that visualisation and superimposing it anywhere, with little or no 'setup'. There are many that do incred

If 30% goes to Apple AND the quality & privacy of every app was high and secure, as they boast, I wouldn't mind - but it is not. So I wonder what Apple ARE doing with that 15%-30% because it is not quality control or tight privacy
