Sanctions sometimes ban providing services to people in countries. Apparently Minecraft requires you to login (a service) to use the game. If the game was completely offline this wouldn't be a problem.

Some of their changes are pushed upstream. Some are put upstream first and then trickle down to Ubuntu. Some remain Ubuntu only.

The federal government sets standards like "No child left behind" and gives less funding if a state does not accept them. States don't have the money to not accept the standards so they generally accept them.

Some people consider LGBT+ to be a persecuted minority. They also consider the Palestinians to be a persecuted minority. It is about helping those who are a persecuted minority even if one of the groups wants to kill everybody in the other

There was talk about banning / divesting from China well before the current flair up in Israel/Palestine. I don't think it has anything to do with AIPAC.

Eugenics and forced sterilization aren't anti-science. It is quite the opposite in fact. They have a strong basis in science, specifically genetics and psychology. If you think somebody has undesirable genes or will cause a kid to have

The quote I quoted is literally from Google. The author just repeated the quote. It has nothing to do with the author's potential bias. If HR/PR lied about defacing property it would open them up to a defamation lawsuit. The entir

My evidence is the quote I copied from the article. Writing, with the proper markers, on a whiteboard is not defacing property.

Writing on a whiteboard is not defacing property unless they didn't use the correct markers and stained the board. It seems like there is something more to it than that.

HR was being kind calling it a sit in. From the article: "They took over office spaces, defaced our property, and physically impeded the work of other Googlers". Defacing property is not part of a sit-in.
