The only thing I can think of was that the Chinese had some new architecture with no compiler out there for it. But if they had their own architecture they could surely build their own compiler.. Sounds fishy tbh

Currently writing a plugin for Jira, definitely encountering this. Many of my classes that extend/implement a jira class/interface have at least 3 parents, sometimes more. Another thing that bothers me which may be java specific i

Could you explain why it would be insane? I was under the impression that all you needed was fast lookup time.

I'm about to graduate and I learned almost entirely Java. I hear that some of the intro classes are switching to python however.

I'm about to graduate in December. We've used almost entirely Java for the core classes. My algorithms class used python and we had a single class devoted to C/Unix.

Same here, maybe they trust people who are using their services more and want them to OCR some google street view stuff.

The only thing I can think of is that they don't really install OS level stuff, think software libraries or runtimes etc. Other than that they're literally identical to something like synaptic.

Just a cursory glance at browser stats seems to show chrome as the most popular which would make sense. I highly doubt anyone using internet explorer is coming to SO.

I've never run into one of these and am curious, do you have an example of a library that tries to do this with obfuscation?

Risk-tego is another, it's just like risk but every time you attack a territory you play a game of stratego to determine the outcome.

If you're worried about the possibility of "look-alikes" you probably need an expensive security team or possibly even actual law enforcement.

Python itself is 23 years old and older than OCaml. Java, C, C++ are also older than OCaml and all 4 are highly used today. I don't think language age has any bearing on quality or usefulness.
