There's always Alt+Tab. Keep an innocent-looking window open in the background and use keyboard shortcuts to instantly switch to it when someone approaches. Keep your reading/writing window itself small, with a small font. Read an

If the company employs people full time or does critical work for its customers, then even the owner should be redundant to some degree! Maybe a chain of command where top employee(s) could step in and keep things running for a while.

I like my dog, but I don't plan to ever own another. Besides money, she costs a lot in time and convenience. Food and water. Walk her morning (feel bad if I sleep in too long), noon, and night. Brush her and vacuum often (sheds a lot).

Entire article? Did you read it all? That was brought up early on, but the rest of the article focused on other reasons why bank robberies spiked (e.g. cocaine) and why they declined again (e.g. less coke usage, harsher sentencing).

Sounds like good advertising! If these companies are trying to sell hardware corresponding to this software, then having a callout right in the software's README is a great way to attract people who are discovering the project through

Sounds like there's no need for clients to log in. Maybe all you need is something like Google Drive or DropBox that allows you to create an unguessable sharing link for a folder. (Not sure if either of those do, though. Also not sure
