I can attest to Apple Music recommendations having improved drastically. I’ve used it for probably 6 years now and only in the past 2 years have the personalized mixes become comparable to Spotify’s. One feature I think really deserves a lo

Apple Music does have this on most artist pages, except for more obscure ones.

Given this choice I would press the green button. If I was flat broke, living on the street, or in debt even, I would find investors to pay, say 5 @ 200k each, for me to press the green button and reward them 1mm each in case of payout.

Agree. It sounds similar to the argument for USB-C charging, also a hot mess of a standard. But RCS is definitely more offensive.

I agree that all of these stated problems are real (definitely are for me). But I definitely DO understand what's lost and I'm happy with the trade for what I have gained. RTO vs WFH takes like this are silly and obvious. Yeah, th

It blows my mind that companies have the resources to sink into "innovations" like this that are just so far out that they are sure to fail. The mere sight of this stresses me out with how fragile it looks, and how clumsy it would

I have not used celery + rabbitmq but I assume that combo is like sidekiq + redis, or any other job queue + worker system. Airflow packages those things together and adds some additional features - UI with Graph, gantt, logs and other views

I despise airflow and how cemented it is as data infrastructure. It such a useful and basic concept but a nightmare to manage, and it works like junk. It's taken me 3 separate jobs over 7 years to realize that it's probably not ou

I get package thefts, people pissing on my entryway, and general creeping late night. Of course I have a doorbell cam but it doesn't help. I've now set up a homekit automation which triggers via the doorbell's motion sensor.

Most family dogs will just roll over for belly rubs once the burglar is inside, but the barking is a great deterrent because it draws attention. The burglar has no idea if that is normal or not, and if someone else might hear it and come in

Just don’t connect it to your WiFi, and instead use an Apple TV. It’s far better than any built-in UI and I like the airplay integration as well.

In every company I've worked at, there is a group pulling for graphql adoption. I've gotten involved and made it to having some well fleshed out graphs. Still, I find the ergonomics to be lacking. Making POST requests with large b

This is a hilarious retort to the armchair RTR crew that has been whining of repairability sabotage and price gouging conspiracies for profit. You want the proper tools to do it right? Here's all 70Lb of them shipped to you. Have fun.

Mostly agree, though I think some companies do gather and act on feedbacks that they get over and over. I'd give real feedback if it's innocuous and positive: "It would be cool if we had more social events!" "I like
