That's how science works. If you keep asking why & digging deeper, you eventually reach something that hasn't been "explained" in terms of something else.

My guess is it will be a 3 ghz quad-core android phone that docks on your monitor & wirelessly connects to everything else.

I agree with the general sentiment (more money to NASA) but I'd point out just because it pays doesn't mean it's the best use of that money. There might be better investments.

>someone will intercept the original input It might be possible to have the server randomly choose what text to test your style on. That would also solve the secure storage. But it's a very hard problem.

I didn't mean a hardware problem. I'm thinking of the "typing style signature" like a hash. Even if it's stolen, it shouldn't be easy to create a stream of keys that 'hash to' that signature.

>send the signal my keyboard would have sent There's a chance they can make that a non-trivial problem, like recovering plaintext given a hash.

I can't help but think it should be investigation & discernment & equanimity rather than acceptance. In buddhism, (as far as i've seen) peace doesn't come from trusting that there's beauty in everything.

When someone says "but", it usually means "Ignore everything I said before the but." It’s like "No offense".

More like Stupid People Might Be Dangerous. If you don't know to navigate a bureaucracy, don't expect to be anywhere near a position that might generate liability.

>Flipping through the book to quickly find a past location is a harder problem to solve. iBooks has an 'overview' mode that sort of works if the book is well marked up. However it's not nearly as good as flipping, & the processor

Open source stuff is often ported to other architectures because it's open source. The point here is using microsoft tools makes that difficult... though I'm not sure why anyone would find that surprising.

The TSA recently got billions more dollars to search peoples' shoes. I'd say they know exactly what they're doing, and they're very good at it. Follow the money. When a proposal has an abstract/amorphous benefit to everybody, and a direct b

Well I don't know any of that unless you post your back squat. If youre doing strength trainng correctly, the absolute lowest you should be lifting is 250lb for the back squat after at most 6 months. You might get better results with less w

Size of what, then? Its not a particle. Having internal structure doesn't mean volume makes sense. You're right that distances do make sense, and he probably meant the electron has no known internal structure. But I don't know how you'd tal

re electron: It's probably more accurate to say "size" has no meaning at that scale. Particles turn into waves, spacetime isn't smooth, etc.

It's not anybody's fault that there's no theory. It's just too hard to "uncover what's actually going on". Maybe wait 200 years when we have the tools (sensors, processing power, etc) to make sense of things.

There is something seriously wrong with the 'weeding out' mentality, in the hard sciences. I can't tell if its hazing, or some superiority complex. You end up with very hard boring work & teachers not being able to teach or willing to h
