Most of these projects are waaaaaaay to slow to reach profitability. You want product market fit ASAP. I also don't think it should be a programming project. Code is a tool, like anything else, and if you have no experience, it's

For $20, you can get the MH Z-19, which is a NDIR type. You can talk to it over UART, and it comes in a 5000ppm and 2000ppm model IIRC. Decent documentation, and a good little sensor. The S8-0053 looks interesting, but I have no experience

I don't think the second sentence follows. Good people existing does not imply that everyone else is bad. What's more, signaling corporate responsibility + personal ethics is a part of his company in the same way that Elon Musk&#x

Absolutely. I'm 21 -- I have 30 to 40 years to weather this storm. For people of similar age, you could not ask for a shallower entry into the market, albeit a tumultuous one.

I suppose, but any isomorphism has its limits. For me, a scooter is much more affordable than say, a hotel. I am willing to pay a small premium in rent over buying the hotel for the convenience and flexibility of not having to own a hotel.

Yeah, don't really like that either. At least with the other services, the user arguably sees an improvement -- better community, better car, whatever. Your genetics are what they are; I doubt (but might be wrong!) 23andMe is sending o

Ah, but public transit is inherently the slowest option. I have no desire to make 10 stops before I get where I'm going. I also have zero desire to rent my modes, as that encourages literally rent seeking behavior. Either we need to fi

What a excellent, albeit strange, model. People pay you to analyze their valuable info, which you then aggregate and use to develop a drug and sell to others. It's almost exactly like trash -- people give you their valuable commodity (

This whole model is incredibly, impossibly, flawed. 9/10 times, my net displacement for the day is 0. If my net displacement is zero, I would prefer to own the medium I'm using to move. Bike, car, scooter etc. Only exception is st

The University goes first. Nevada has zero income tax, almost no property tax. It's about as business friendly as it gets (no 9 on some random list I found); the problem is it's a barren desert devoid of anything worth doing. You
