So everyone knows that the interview isn't perfectly realistic--it's a simulation. Consider that when athletes are scouted, they are usually not asked to play in a full game of their sport. But instead certain stats like 'how

I've been a developer for almost 2 years (I know not that long) but I have never even heard of bubble sort. Looking it up, it is O(n^2). Is there a reason this is a common interview question? It doesn't seem like a sort one would

I think there can be just as many issues with that style too. There are so many critiques possible, it's difficult to know what to focus on. Some people care about algorithm efficiency, and others don't. Some interviewers require

I have an alternative explaination for some of the names. Usually feminine names are longer--often just longer versions of the male equivalent. Think Patrick vs Patricia, Jesse vs Jessica, Robert vs Roberta etc. It seems a lot of the gender

I actually think the first chart is most telling. Since they are ordered by popularity, the names which had a visible male presence (Kelly, Kim, Riley, Avery) are what I would call 'switched'. Most people would have identified tho

Of course it's not worth it if you can pass it yourself. Plenty of people would gladly accept this offer. I would accept the google offer with a 15% pay cut in a heartbeat. No hesitation at all.

Eh, I guess this is not true. To me, 'social media' always meant websites like MySpace and Orkut where friends connect, and not just 'website where users can communicate in some way' a la Pinterest/Reddit/YouTu

I lean libertarian, but sometimes realty breaks that. True libertarianism dictates that I can ban whomever I want from my shop. But in reality most of the bans were of the 'No Negroes' variety. I would love to think that the free
