I think so. I don't know if this is still the case, but I believe there was a policy to not carry any patches that haven't been merged upstream. In any case, building with an unpatched LLVM is still supported.

The original title is "U.S. food additives banned in Europe: Expert says what Americans eat is "almost certainly" making them sick", which makes a lot more sense than the submission title.

Given how long it took for VA-API to be implemented, Vulkan might be outdated by then.

No, it wouldn't. Java is the only ecosystem where dynamically loading code by default from random web servers is considered to be a feature. Probably a legacy of its early decade, when everybody was dreaming of this.

There's a video in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/2689 , but it doesn't show the problem that clearly. Try to go to /dev/char, scroll down, then scroll back up using

Yeah, I'd rather they fixed scrolling in large lists, which makes Nautilus almost unusable in directories with more than 500 items. So much for "scalable". And, ironically, touch support is currently broken, too. https:/

That's rather rustc_codegen_gcc. gcc-rs is more for people who don't like LLVM and/or Rust. https://github.com/rust-lang/rustc_codegen_gcc

I had an older HP laptop where disabling their sound DSP (by Beats) also set the equalizer to min bass / max treble so you would say "wow, this Beats thing is so great".

Yeah, well, both versions work on my system. I don't know how to check if I'm getting any kind of acceleration, probably not on AMD. EDIT: I think it's actually using Vulkan Compute on RADV.

I followed the instructions in their README, they suggest conda, but don't tell you to use it. My GPU isn't even CUDA-capable, but the previous version of Upscayl worked fine, possibly on the CPU. That might have changed, I don&#x

That quote has been thrown around every time in order to justify writing inefficient code and never optimizing it. Python is 10-1000x slower than C, but sure, let's keep using it because premature optimization is the root of all evil,
