Glossy like the new MBPs? No, they don't. The glossy MBPs have a sheet of glass and my current gen MBA doesn't have that. Of course, I would recommend trying it out for yourself at an Apple Store before deciding anything. Even if it wasn't

One of the system admins here made a comment about how important backups are for a business. He said the only time he ever saw someone get fired immediately was when they screwed up the backup system. He talked me through all the design con

Sorry about not responding earlier to your comment back. I meant 'more' in the relative sense. And practically that does mean progressive taxation. Taxation is a complex subject. I just wonder where on the laffer curve economists think the

If there wasn't mandated education there would be far less efficient workers for the rich for their businesses. Which would mean their output would suffer. Not having good public transportation infrastructure would mean there would be a hig

I'll just add that lot of iOS libraries out there have instructions like "copy the files into your project" in order to use the library. It might be difficult to use those projects in mono based iOS projects.

Whoa slow down there. This is the company that was nearly down and out and then came up with the iPod. Then the iPhone and iPad. How many product categories do you want them to come up with (ok maybe not come up with, but you know what I me

Strange. It lists jobs near Alexandria, VA just fine on the front page. But when I click on the More Jobs it tries to find jobs in Egypt.

I installed iOS 4.2 beta on my ipad last week so I kind of get what you're saying. The main thing I noticed is that when I needed to mute I typically need to mute quicker than I need to switch orientation. Whenever I need to orientation loc

Just hope they don't counter with, "Now whose foot looks more like a shoe?" And I've only gotten compliments on my VFFs. Then again I chose the blue camo color.

No you're not being kooky. I think the notification system on the iOS needs work. IMO it's the weakest part of the UI.

As both a windows and mac user I have to agree with all of your points but the last one is probably the most important. The software ecosystem on os x is much nicer overall because of the guidelines that apple publishes. Most OS X applicati

Love the design. I just signed up. Can't wait to see how well it'll help me keep a journal. One thing I noticed: on the login page can you make pressing tab in the login box go directly to the password input box?

I remember having to upgrade VS 2005 to VS 2005 SP1. It took 2 hours to apply the changes. And it was difficult to tell if the updating application froze or was still working. So while patching is nice, it is a huge effort to get it done cl

I've done Lindy Hop for about 4 to 5 years now. I love it. It'll be no time when you'll be able to swing out to Shiny Stockings and Jumpin at the Woodside. And if #1 helps #3 I can assume you're a Django Reinhardt fan.
