Your comment made me think about a documentary on Quants I watched a month ago. The part about the documentary that disturbed me the most wasn't the financial derivatives that were being created. The part that disturbed me the most was the amount of intellectual power that went into creating said financial derivatives. I sometimes wonder if there is a brain drain from engineering and sciences to legal and banking because of salaries. Thank you for your comment. You put into words something that has been bugging me since the beginning of this financial crisis.
