Maybe that would be a good way of making cities more human friendly instead of car friendly - if you want to cross the road, just go for it and the cars will stop or avoid you. Probably not a good idea on highways and fast roads obviously.

Once a metric becomes a target, it ceases to be a good metric. I think that people would find ways of targeting their learning towards these brain scans, without actually getting useful experience and learning, so their usefulness would go

I don't think they were storing them in plain text, but on a login request it would log the request body without properly censoring the password. The password could still be hashed when it was actually put into the database.

I quite like gits user experience, personally. If you don't like it, there are lots of tools built on top of it that make it easier to use. Not sure what the issue is.

I'm not a libertarian, I just think the current speed limits should be increased to the speed people actually drive at, and then enforced. Speed differential is a big component of what makes driving dangerous, rather than just speed it

It seems unrealistic to try and get to 0 deaths on the road. Just with every other activity, there are risks that come with driving and I think people should be allowed to accept those risks, just like they do with any other somewhat danger

It's interesting that the headline and article seems to be focused on the advertisers targeting ads towards men when there were also instances where the ads were targetted towards only women. Shouldn't those both be equally wrong?

There are also lots of great economists who oppose UBI, so I don't think that is a great argument.

Wow, I knew Musk wasn't good at speaking, but he doesn't look at all like a CEO here. Part of that is probably because it is a long interview where he didn't get the questions ahead of time, but he just doesn't seem very
