I have a tendency to be heavier rather than lighter, for me exercise absolutely helps, how much I eat with moderate exercise is about the same as without. Once I go above the moderate range I start being more hungry and only applies to card

I second this. After all these years of programming it's become something I do for work with the exception of the occasional Arduino project (something mentioned more than once in this thread). As a matter of fact, I don't use com

If they don't want to hear from me by phone, e-mail, or in person, they'll never hear from me. Maybe that's the advantage of working in an area with a permanent labour shortage, but I simply refuse to jump through hoops befor

I guess this would comport with his concept of slave morality that states that the collective is more important than the individual and tends to trend towards the lowest common denominator.

Because humans are social beings, we need to signal to the others that we belong to the group and are doing our part. Our loyalty is prized more than our effectiveness or efficiency. It doesn't matter how productive you are, the feelin

One would think think detaining a million Uyghurs would equate to incarceration. I certainly do think so. But on the other hand, if you need to compare yourself to countries such as China and Russia and have your defense be "well at le

This seems rather biased towards women, men are just as likely to make out with strangers in the club. And while men are not getting surgery to enlarge their boobs, they do get hair implants and steroids/SARMs are more prevalent than e

Stuff like this is really cool. But the problem is that certain clients (as in clients that pay your bills) can't even get public keys to work and we end up allowing password logins. So I don't know how I could make this work in t

Obvious diversion from the core issue. Israel must either grant the occupied lands true sovereignty and have their ethnostate or end the occupation and grant them equal civilian rights. Either way they must end their occupation of both Gaza

If you hang around long enough you'll end up with code you once wrote that was maybe a quick fix, maybe you thought it was brilliant, but now appears to you as a steaming pile of crap. Sometimes it may however still be the best solutio

I wonder how much of the shitty code bases have more to do with the popularity of PHP (for web based applications) than anything else. I've seen plenty of shitty code bases fin just about any language. If there's more of something
