So a bit of downtime while spare parts are installed, or older tech put back in use... A major disruption, maybe, but not the end of the world.

Well, unless your car burns out too, you'll have at least 12V to work with.

I should buy one for my own but turns out you can put detergent between washing cycles, as long as you don't connect the dishwasher to a water line (well, I didn't check the other way around to be fair) So I'm still weighting

The problem is less booting the OS once installed, but finding an iso I don't have to mess with too much to install it. Most of them assume 64 bits CPU means 64 bits UEFI...

Interesting... I'll check if it can emulate 64 bits UEFI on a 32 bits one (yet 64 bits cpu): Finding anything to boot on my old tablet PC is becoming a pain.

As someone who see fairly well in the dark: I too often find myself nearly unable to see what's in front of me because of the car behind. It also makes judging the distance and speed of a passing vehicle a literal pain.

I tried my old retromini (RS90, I think) with (the surprisingly still updated) retroarch, but the core seem to crash when loading content. And I don't want to figure out how to compile the stand-alone emulator (retro8) for it.

Well, I did spend a few days finding a modern version of Linux that can run on a Mac mini PPC... Its OS X was outdated so I installed Yellowdog on it, then Debian and now that Debian don't support 32 bits G4 anymore all I found was Voi

The "Good news, IE is now Edge" one was nice in the way it considered I wasn't doing anything of value when it appeared and I had nothing better to do than watch the sales pitch. A real nice red flag.

They should try a 2CV for a short while, then their small car would be just fine... (Fun car but the lack of power can get you in dangerous situations, like when people don't expect you slowing down severely going uphill. Noisy too.)
