If you want a challenge, learn Prolog using https://www.metalevel.at/prolog , with https://github.com/mthom/scryer-prolog as the Prolog implementation.

Someone has to actually maintain the driver in the tree. Drivers that don't have maintainers end up being removed from the kernel.

Neutral activity itself definitely takes phase into account somehow, since you can hear the phase difference of two same-frequency tones being played independently into each ear, without any kind of sufficiently strong mechanical connection

The other comments are talking about just Prolog in general, but I have to say, The Power of Prolog is a rather excellent series of tutorials. The videos are worth watching too, Markus does a great job of capturing the viewer's/re

Looking at qalculate in Arch repos, libqalculate comes in at 14.94 MiB, and qalculate-qt at 3.37MiB, so 18.3 MiB total. If you're looking at the Appimage, the rest of the size would be from the libraries it depends on, like Qt/GTK

A bit of a weird reason, but Xboxes still support audio CD playback, while the PS5 doesn't.

On the other hand, how much of that is actually making it into the mainstream? Although, it's debatable how much of a "mainstream" there even is, any more.

Having 1000...0001 represent -1 would be sign-magnitude representation. Having 1111...1111 be -1 is two's complement. Computers usually use two's complement for integers, because it makes addition and multiplication really easy to

Hall effect joysticks seem really promising. Fundamentally, due to the way they work, they should be much less likely to develop drift compared to potentiometer-based joysticks.

When you do `*(pointer + 1)`, it'll actually increment the address of the pointer by `sizeof(*pointer)`, so it indeed works the same as indexing `pointer[1]`

The most popular theory about the Moon's formation is that Earth collided with a Mars-sized planet, so if that's true there definitely used to be at least one more planet than what we have now.
