I can't help but think that if this was an iPhone feature you'd love it. It's great. It's easy to see at a glance which way up the phone is, much easier than locating and then checking the position of a small switch.

svn is quite over-engineered and has significantly more dependencies than git. There's no way a statically linked svn would come out smaller than git, so either you're trolling, lying, or stupid. Besides, file sizes of statically linked

Think about that: a laptop with no performance tradeoff compared to a high-end desktop. Compared to a high-end desktop which has barely seen updates since 2010, and includes a GPU released in 2009, sure.
