Yeah I was actually pretty surprised. I totally expected to get sent a link to their Q&A and be basically told "goodluck". But they stuck with me for quite awhile trying to figure something out.

I agree, I think University in it's current form has been more about being able to efficiently cram as many students into programs as possible and keep pumping out the degrees. The goal no longer seems to be too focused on the educatio

When I got a Google Home device it would not work to recognize my voice during the setup process and I eventually ended up somehow in contact with Google support. It was surprisingly one of the best support interactions I've actually h

I keep a backed up list of all my 2fa codes in a password/key encrypted storage. I am trying to avoid the kind of situation you described. I have A LOT of accounts with 2fa now, and losing access to the 2fa app would be an incredibly f

Yes but what I mentioned does not require any interaction, it still does change the route to a faster one without having to do anything. I don't see how that makes a difference in safety? I am not worried about people using a GPS on th

Some courses seem to put far too much emphasis on the memorization aspect of the courses, which has always seemed silly to me. For so many jobs you are not required to memorize a ton of information and instead can refer to manuals, textbook

I like all the things in Google Maps that you disagree with. Maybe you're just not the target audience and should switch to an app that works better for your needs? Google Maps does automatically choose the better route if it finds one

I've had people show me things at work on things like reddit and I always try and avoid looking at their username simply because I don't want to be tempted to check what kinds of things they post. I've seen co-workers reddit

If you have two factor auth on and generate an "app-specific password" doesn't this allow you to do the same thing still? You just use your email and app-specific password to login and it should work still shouldn't it?
