I want to believe that there is a "a-lot-of-millions" business opportunity for open source, easy to repair printers that just work without giving you any crap. Kinda like "The Framework" laptopts but for printers.

It would be better without an add. Free Outlook will become the default mail app pre installed with Windows, a commercial product that costs actual money. It is just shouldn't have ads. Just like Apple's Mail app doesn't have

Installed it again today. I use Windows only for gaming and therefore didn't care much about mail on it.

I only use Windows on my gaming desktop and would go Linux first next time I upgrade. Only a few games I play still need Windows and I could still use dual boot for them.

"Mail" on Windows notified me that starting with 2024, Outlook will replace it as the new default Mail client on Windows. It also asked me if I want to switch now. I decided to try it out and during setup of the new free Outlook I

I am just waiting until Valve releases an open, PC based competitor to the meta quest.

For LANs, Linux is just too much of a headache since a lot of games require Anti-Cheat that won't run in Linux. I did that a few times but as soon as someone wants to play Valorant, you're out.

My child is still too young but my policy is that it should learn to use a real PC first before switching to tablets and smartphones. The core concepts of how to use a mouse and keyboard, what are files and folders, how to use actual deskto

Was this really an option here? They probably aren't launching that many apps on the Play Store. So they had one shot to try out a pre-registration campaign to get a big app launch.

Neat article. I would like to criticize your landing page for your app. It very very much bugs me, when landing pages for apps have only a QR code which I am supposed to scan with my phone. Luckily, you also added a "Get the App"

I mostly read about squatters in Spanish holiday homes and in Germany when people just refuse to pay rent. Apparently it is a very long process to get those people evicted. https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-58310532 The

I like this approach as well. I already cancelled Amazon Prime and I don't miss it. The Video service wasn't interesting anymore and shipping with Prime isn't what it used to be. I also do this with the Xbox Game Pass. Subscr

Similarly, Twilight Princess should have been released earlier for the GameCube but was then released on GameCube and Wii simultaneously.

Afaik this is the first time that the second installment of a Zelda game per generation is better than the first one. Zelda 1 is considered to be better than 2. Ocarina of Time > Majora's Mask. Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword.

I just want to be able to pay once and not get annoyed by any crappy news or adds. I am super annoyed about my Sony Android TV which for weeks shows me a huge "Audi" add that fills half the home screen. I am not going to buy that

I usually just recommended Harvard's CS50 as it is a very high quality introduction course (To be clear I was not a Harvard or any _fancy_ university). Is there any better course available?
