I like this approach as well. I already cancelled Amazon Prime and I don't miss it. The Video service wasn't interesting anymore and shipping with Prime isn't what it used to be. I also do this with the Xbox Game Pass. Subscribe for a month, play some shorter indie games for which I wouldn't pay 15€ each and then cancel.
