Heat pumps _are_ amazing! The power of physics at play: spend 1 unit of energy to gain 4. Some naysayers will say that it doesn't work the 3 days of the year where it's -15°C outside, without talking about the other 100+ days wher

Yeah, the methodology here is bothering me. Did they really dig 4m+ deep? Must be really hard work, but impressive nevertheless. Maybe they did use some water spades to ease up the digging?

Ahah, I can relate to that. My driving license doesn't spell my name correctly, and somehow nobody cares. I somehow like this "nah, who cares" attitude

You should read the IPCC reports, educate yourself on how it works overall, before saying absurdities like this one :).

Finally ! So glad, it may move forwards. Norms are usually not free, but the funny thing is that each country's norm agency sets their price. So for example, EN 1991-1-1 (structural concrete load) costs 230€ at Afnor (France), 82€ at N

Totally! Some days ago FDA approved a new chemotherapy for PDAC which increases survival time from 9 months to... 11months. Compared to immunotherapy, chemo really looks like an ancient technology. Hope immuno gets even better.

AFAIK, it's even "worse" as ribosomes are made of RNA (rRNA). and amino acids are linked to small RNA (tRNA) in when translating the (coding) RNA. RNA is the start of everything (see: RNA world)

I've participated in grid stabilization in Switzerland (ancillary services), and 100kW is absolutely nothing. As far as I recall, 10 years ago, the minimum needed to become a participant was 10MW
