Youve got enough comments to reply to so Ill be concise. If this can be used against drone craft or reliably against missiles then I'm for it. If it's just a better gun Im against it.

This might just be a whoosh moment for me, but what's the actual societal damage here? My takeaway from the article was that CEOs try to optimize their personal payouts but there was little that seemed to imply this is a serious proble

I think you're right that I was too general but I still disagree in this context. I agree with your premise that free market capitalism is vulnerable to monopolies. But healthcare services in the U.S. are so heavily regulated that it&#

I agree with your point about minimum transportation as a right. I'd support that ballot. But I don't think it's fair to blame capitalism in an environment where there's only a handful of entrenched players. When I was h

That's a very long string of words to ask "Can you present evidence that calling people who aren't serfs serfs is degrading?" I don't know what sort of evidence you're looking for here.

I'd like to agree with your position but in the current environment I can't. Uber is a shitty company, I can get on that bandwagon and ride it to the other end of the continent. But in my country, America, this sort of service is

I enjoyed my sociology classes when I had to take them but I still haven't been able to get over the premise that asians sort've get hand-waved out of a lot of statistics and it's okay because "they're a model minor

I'm a little late to reply but the blunt answer is "because it wouldn't be worth it." To clarify, the point I was making wasn't that tribalism is actually desirable, simply that if it's ethically agnostic then

I think that's just called the service industry. I realize the jobs you mentioned aren't glamorous lines of work to a lot of people but I think your attitude is unnecessarily degrading to the workers. There are plenty of servers,

I agree. That being said, the reason I tried to choose my words carefully is that, in this instance, I think your point mainly functions as a distraction. I agree that things like witness testimony are sub-par as numerous studies have shown

This. Obama radically expanded the surveillance state as did Bush and arguably Clinton abided it even if he didn't outright affect it in the same way as his successors. I'm not going to make the statement that the Chinese surveill

I'm just giving anecdata here so I'm curious to see if you agree with me. Having known two people that went to prison, my opinion on the system is that I think people usually go to prison for the legally correct reason. That being

I agree with your overarching point but I think the acknowledgement that it's all made up is more of an argument in favor of tribalism than against it. What's good for America isn't necessarily good for the rest of the world.

I like this point but can you elaborate on it more? My knee jerk reaction is to say "why". I'm not very familiar with manufacturing as I'm sure a lot of people aren't, but it seems like most of the knowledge is in t
