I've been hearing things like this regularly since 2016, some of it on Hacker News. It's caused definite stress in the past and I actually get a bit angry when I see stories like this now - and regard it as clickbait.

Apollo whom I've never had any dealings with whatsoever have compromised my details. Absolutely fucking outrageous.

Yeah I used to enjoy the sub too, some interesting discussions that were usually polite. You are 100% correct it was overnight, there was nothing organic about that.

They took over the main politics subreddit in 2016, one of the worst things I’ve seen happen online. Crickets.

To be fair I've seen worse on /r/politics, a subreddit that has way more exposure than the D

Reddit is an absolute shithole now. I've never seen a website fall from grace so quickly, not even Digg.

Curious what subreddit you're referring to. I've seen all you describe and worse in the politics subreddit.

It's absolutely stunning what's happened to Reddit. Between the speech clampdowns like this and the soul-crushing amount of political astroturfing going on it's clearly time for a new challenger (not Voat).

How were we meant to figure this out, through necromancy or something. There is no information indicating Sierra has been patched or is due to be patched.

As a non-American I'm so glad I don't work in an country where politics seems to create such hysteria in the workplace. I know Trump was a big unexpected shock to many but come on... crying executives, I mean what the hell

Not sure why you’re being downvoted. The ability to upload your own songs to the cloud is something I so wish Spotify had, it really is great.
