Kagi is one of the few subscriptions I think is 100% worth the price. In fact, I’d pay double. Very happy user for almost two years.

I haven’t used lisp is 30 years, so help me understand/remember why this would be easier than say C++ or any other language with object inheritance and virtual functions. Is there something else about it?

I suspect a little of both. Plus some people were turned off by the forced democratic “primary”. I remember similar sentiments when Hillary ran. I just realized Trump has only won when running against a woman. I think we’re just not qui

Funny anecdote - I was flying through Minneapolis and the passengers on a plane about to depart had to get back off the plane so it could be rebooted. It takes 20 minutes to power down to zero and 20 minutes to boot back up. The gate agen

I’ve been learning a bit about it after learning about RRCF (Robust Random Cut Forests). The ISOTree library is really well documented if you want to play with it.

It was a slim majority of those who actually voted, so less than half of eligible voters. There are many, many people who are not happy with how things are going.

A huge number felt they had to vote for the lesser of two bad choices. I think many that voted for Trump were naive and are genuinely surprised at what they are seeing. At least I’d like to think so, despite what you might find on forums.

Part time sounds magical. I think there would be a ton of very talented people interested in only working (and being paid for) 20 hours/week.

The Jews thought they had nothing to hide in 1920’s Germany. Any group you belong to can be targeted at some point. Even more so today.

I’m not sure. If I don’t click on one that is a bus it won’t let me forward. It’s not like I click an “Ok, I’m done” button. I guess we could all delay clicking and maybe it would give up and assume the unknown bus wasn’t really a bus af

That’s the theory, but I have yet to see it play out in real life. Very few products are so identical that this would be the case.

I do almost the same thing, except I also offer a monthly subscription. The reason being that I’ve run into some companies that absolutely only want to pay monthly, and others that absolutely only want to pay once. I figure it’s best to m

My concern is stuff that can get you in trouble can change. Jews in 1920’s Germany probably(?) didn’t think there was any reason to hide that they were Jews.

My sons worry a lot about this. In my (non-economist) mind, this will sort itself out in a few years. All the old people that own homes will die. Those homes will be empty, and everyone moves up a level, or prices are forced to drop from

I think you’re right. I’m no economist, but all non-local companies are extractive in nature - i.e. more money flows to the corporate office (and out of the community) than would happen for a local company (though even local companies send

I know I’m just some rando on the Internet and my tiny view of a small slice of your life is not much to go on, but I’m still betting on some low level depression, or some sort of endocrine system thing. 35 is close to the prime of life.
